Why hire a coach?

A coach is necessary if you are ready to push yourself to the next level in your career or business - and your life. In my experience, the biggest leaps and bounds I’ve made have been by working with a coach (I’m currently working with 2 coaches myself). It can be too hard to go it alone, and quite frankly, your friends and family are rarely the source of support you need. The most successful people in this world hire coaches. Elite athletes, top business leaders and real-life mavens all hire people to help them power up. If you want to step into your greatness, then get someone with expertise to help you. You will work better, sleep better, and feel better. And who doesn’t want that? Sign. Me. Up.

Coaching is the best tool for anyone who is seeking to engage in new behaviours. New behaviours = new life ❤️

Who are you and what is your coaching experience?

Glad you asked! I am a Graphic Designer, Art Director and Brand Expert who also works as a Career & Success Coach. You can read more about me here and you can also check out my LinkedIn. I’m also a Certified Professional Coach from iPEC (CPC) and have been working with clients since 2016. I work both one on one with clients and in a group coaching setting.

In addition, I’ve been a Mentor with Young Women in Business and with The Association of Registered Graphic Designers, RGD.

Are you still working as a graphic designer?

I currently split my time between freelance graphic design/creative projects and career coaching. I’m a certified multi-passionate who refuses to do “just one thing” (a traditional career is highly overrated!)⚡️⚡️⚡️ I still love being creative! Check out my design shop to see some of my typography work.

Can you tell me something fun and interesting about you?

Sure! Here we go:

  1. My creative career began in the music industry. My first design job ever was as a Creative Manager for a Canadian indie record label called True North Records. Best job ever as that is where I met my husband.

  2. I have an irrational and extreme obsession with dachshunds. We currently have a rescue named Dolly Duchess. It’s Dolly’s world, we’re just living in it…!

  3. I love tea more than any other beverage on the planet (good ‘ol orange pekoe with soy milk, please and thanks!)

  4. I love cardio. Most of my blog post ideas pop into my head as I’m moving my body, even if it’s just a walk. I also need to do it for my mental health.

  5. I’m pretty sure those Snickers ads “You’re not you when you’re hungry” were based on me (I NEED snacks!)

  6. One of my fave books ever is Open: An Autobiography by Andre Agassi (which is really by J. R. Moehringer)

  7. I’m super inspired by Jen Sincero and Victoria Montgomery Brown. I love smart, powerful women who are strong leaders and have a real sense of humour.

  8. I’m a water person. I don’t need to be in it all the time, but I need to see it as often as possible. Even a fountain will do!

  9. I spend a lot of time in Ireland and if you ever go there, you must visit the west coast as I think it’s the most spectacular part. You also must try curry chips–trust me.

  10. When I was a toddler I escaped my house via tricycle (tricycle!) in order to find my sister at the local McDonald’s which was about a kilometre away. I guess you could say I was determined and driven from the very beginning!

Can you create a custom talk for my event?

Yes! Let’s chat about exactly what your audience is looking for and see if we can work together.

I’m still on the fence about working with you. Can I contact you?

Absolutely. FREE 15 minute consultations are available. Shoot me a note here and I will answer all of your questions!

To your brave success,
Alana
