Do What Keeps Bubbling Up

A quick and important reminder today:

If you can’t stop thinking of doing something, writing something or creating something–you need to do it.

What I’ve observed (and experienced) is that you’re in this brain loop because you’re meant to put this ‘thing’ into the universe.

Kinda obvious, I know.

But how many times do we ignore what’s completely obvious because it’s either making us uncomfortable or challenging us?

If something keeps tugging on your shirt sleeve or is stuck in your head like a bad commercial jingle, then follow that pull. Do what keeps bubbling up.

Don’t waste time questioning WHY you’re being nudged in a certain direction, just do it already.

I realized that the more I pushed my writing and/or podcasting to the side, and the more I doubted the legitimacy of this desire to put my words out there, the more I was falling into a state of resistance.

I was pushing back on organic ambitions and that was making each day less fulfilling that it could be. Not fun. And not necessary.

Honestly, however, sometimes I have no idea what the purpose of my words are.

Are they doing anything?

Are they serving anyone?

Is anyone out there?

Bueller?

But I do know that when I don’t share what’s on my mind, I feel worse. I don’t really know why, but does that even matter?

If you feel better doing something, even if it isn’t lucrative or ‘important’ or embraced by millions, shouldn’t you just do it already? I say yes. Even when the saboteur in me wants to say no.

So here’s what I wish for you: May whatever is bubbling up in your world make its way to the surface with ease and grace.

To your brave success,
Alana
